She was educated in England. She attended Leeds University, worked as a human rights worker, and now runs a writing services company in the UK. ==History== Sanusi had talked with a number of publishers and received "...'rave rejections' from Christian publishers who couldn't publish some of my work as it didn't fit their remit". During this time she was editing two online magazines and running a personal website. In 2004, she secured book contracts with two different publishers. ''Kemi's Journal'' (2005) was her first work of fiction, followed by ''Zack's Story of Life, Love and Everything''.
